Zomax wire rope guides are made of special cast steel and precisely engineered to fit electric hoist rope drum grooves, ensuring neat alignment of the wire ropes on the drum and preventing chaos or overlap which may cause mechanical malfunctions or damage to the hoist.
We offer a wide range of sizes to accommodate various hoist applications. The modular design allows for integrating additional features, such as drum-cleaning , side-pull protection, and wire rope measurement, by installing modular attachments.
For any requirements please contact us for a customized solution to meet your electric hoist’s specifications.
The rollers wheels provide smooth motion transitions, reducing wear on both the rope drum and the guide itself.
Certain components of the guide are made from high-strength plastic, with toughness and elasticity, reducing friction and wear on the wire rope.
Widened and thickened guide rails, much thicker than ordinary guide rails.
Good toughness, which can make the wire rope neatly arranged around the drum and prevent the rope from jumping out of the groove
The guide can be designed to suit a wide range of drum diameter and drum pitch direction.
Its modular design allows for the installation of additional features, such as drum cleaning, side-pull prevention, and rope measurement devices.
Also operate as a limit switch, providing a safety feature to prevent over-lifting or over-lowering of the hook.

Design does not affect the proximity of the hook
The rope guide itself does not rotate. As the reel rotates and the wire rope winds, the guide is driven by the threaded groove, allowing it to move axially. This ensures the wire rope is always accurately guided into and out of the reel’s spiral groove. The wire rope exits the guide through its gap.
The rope guide nut engages with the reel's rope groove, and as the reel rotates, it drives the guide nut to move laterally. This movement ensures that the wire rope stays properly aligned within the reel’s groove.
The guide plate moves laterally to both ends of the reel. When it reaches its limit position, it drives a limit bar installed in the reel’s shell, which in turn activates a limit switch mounted on the main motor, providing a safety limit function.
