1. Gear crane wheel assembly

Application Scenarios:

Gear crane wheel is widely used in all kinds of lifting and transporting equipment,especially in large tonnage equipment, such as LD single beam crane, loading bridge, gantry crane on Dam Crest, container crane, port machinery etc.

Composition:

The gear crane wheel assembly mainly consists of a wheel axle, wheel, bearings, and a gear ring, comprising four parts.

Features:

• This wheel assembly does not have a bearing box; bearings are directly installed inside the wheel, making the structure simple, cost-effective,

   and the components highly interchangeable for easy procurement.

• It is inconvenient to adjust when the crane wheel experiences rail biting or derailment.

• The replacement and disassembly of the crane wheel are relatively cumbersome.

Crane Wheel Materials:

The materials for the wheels include 42CrMo4, AISI 4140, 41Cr4, A504, SSW-Q1R, and other high-quality forged or cast steels.

Gears are manufactured using 45#, 40Cr, or 42CrMo steels.

The axle material for LD crane wheels is 45# steel, and the gear ring is forged from 40Cr steel.

We also supply European-type and custom gear wheel based on clients' requirements.

Size Parameters:

The main specifications are two sizes: LD300 and LD400, with groove widths of 70 and 90mm.

2. L block crane wheel assembly

Application Scenarios:

Dual-flange L block crane wheel assemblies are primarily used in gantry cranes, travelling mechanisms of double girder bridge cranes, casting cranes, electric flat cars, trolley groups, ship unloaders, shipyards, port machinery, coal unloaders, stacker reclaimers, shore bridges, and similar applications.

Composition:

Angular box-type crane wheel assemblies typically consist of four parts: wheel axle, wheel disc, angular bearing box, and bearings.

Features:

• In the event of crane wheel derailment or misalignment, the angular box-type structure offers convenient adjustment. The angular box bearing seat positions the wheel using horizontal and vertical key plates that are welded to the frame. If derailment or misalignment occurs, the welds can be cut on-site, allowing the wheel and key plates to be adjusted and re-welded without cutting the end beam.

• Compared to European-style crane wheel assemblies, the disassembly and replacement of angular box wheels are more convenient.

Crane Wheel Material:

The material of the crane wheel is typically a high manganese alloy or cast steel.

Cast steel crane wheel assemblies include cast 55, cast 50SiMn, and cast 42CrMo.

Forged steel crane wheel assemblies include forged 60, forged 42CrMo, and forged 65Mn.

Application Scenarios:

Mainly used in European-style cranes of the present day.

Composition:

European-style crane wheel assemblies typically consist of four main parts: the wheel axle, wheel disc, bearing box, and bearings.

Features:

• European-style crane wheels offer superior material performance, allowing for smaller diameters under the same load conditions, a more compact structure, and a sleek design. his is achieved through integral boring, milling processes, and modern electrical heat treatment. They are lighter in weight and smaller in size.

• These wheel assemblies require high assembly precision as they connect directly to a three-in-one reducer without the use of a coupling.

• The bearing box is bolted directly to the end beam web plate, making adjustments during wheel biting difficult and disassembly more challenging compared to the angular bearing box structure.

• A smaller wheel diameter increases curvature and reduces the contact area with the track, leading to higher wheel-rail contact stress under the same load. A higher rotational speed due to the smaller diameter also increases tread wear.

• The square bearing box wheel assembly features a positioning pin for installation, offering higher positioning accuracy compared to the round bearing box assembly, though it is less convenient to disassemble.

Material:

Widely utilizes forged chromium alloy materials.

Key specifications include: ø160, ø200, ø250, ø315, ø400, ø450, ø500.

5. DRS wheel blocks

Application Scenarios:

Mainly used in stackers, shield machines, equipment supporting, metallurgical trolleys, and other industries.

Features:

• Easy to assemble with a simple wheel replacement process.

• Fully enclosed design,lifetime maintenance-free.

• The ball-milled cast iron travel wheel offers self-lubrication, wear resistance, and a design service life of up to ten years.

• The wheel block has a high load-bearing capacity with low operational noise.

• The spline hub of the drive wheel is connected to the spline of the reducer, providing a compact and well-designed structure.

• Features five machined surfaces for convenient structural connections, ensuring precise installation

  (top connection, side connection, pin connection, end connection).

• Modular, standardized design with a complete set of walking solutions and components,

  significantly reducing design costs and time for the crane's traveling mechanism.

6.45°Split Bearing Box Crane Wheel Assembly

Application Scenarios:

Primarily used in the travelling mechanisms of large lifting equipment

Composition:

The 45°split bearing box-type crane wheel assembly consists of four main parts: the wheel axle, wheel disc, 45°split bearing box, and bearings.

Features:

• The most convenient structure for disassembly and assembly, facilitating the maintenance and replacement of crane wheels.

• Not suitable for adjustment in cases of crane wheel biting or derailment.

• These crane wheels are commonly used in heavy lifting equipment under high wheel pressure conditions, equipped with self-aligning bearings. The chromium alloy used in the lateral installation of the wheels undergoes extensive machining and heat treatment. The design also emphasizes mounting the wheels at the ends of the web plate of the end beam, effectively protecting the installation bolts from high-stress areas.

• The web plate is welded to the support ring, which is more reliable under heavy loads and vibrations than side shear bolts.

   the support ring and end beam web plate are made of different materials, modern welding techniques have overcomed this issue.

• The straightness and parallelism control of this type of crane wheel is less precise compared to wheels mounted on the side of the web plate.

  Spherical outer bearings are required to correct the running posture of the wheel.
